Bengals edge Browns 17-16 as defense and missed kicks define tense opener
Cincinnati survived in Cleveland 17-16 despite being outgained 327-141 and losing the clock by nearly 36 minutes. Two second-half Browns turnovers and two missed kicks from Andre Szmyt swung the game. Joe Burrow threw for 113 yards; Joe Flacco had 327 but was picked by DJ Turner with 1:24 left. It’s Cincinnati’s first season-opening win since 2021.
