Remember the The Red Balloon (French: Le Ballon rouge)? It’s a 1956 fantasy featurette directed by French filmmaker Albert Lamorisse. Mr. Lamorisse used his children as actors in the film. His son, Pascal Lamorisse, plays Pascal in the main role, and his daughter Sabine portrays a little girl.

Because we have scheduling freedom, a tailored curriculum, and a very small student to teacher ratio, we can complete the same amount of bookwork the schools do (and often more), in only half the time that they do. This leaves several hours for outdoor adventures, and many opportunities for soaking up the sun and breathing in fresh air!
